Brainpreneurs Foundation

Welcome to VYOM (Vibrant Young Open Minds) Child Development Center, a revolutionary initiative in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department of Jammu and Kashmir and the Brainpreneurs Foundation. Established on October 2, 2023, VYOM supports special needs children, making sure they receive the care and therapy required to thrive. Our services include a wide range of therapies and educational support, including physiotherapy, special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychological assessments, and parent and child counselling. We believe in offering a holistic approach to cater to the diverse needs of special children from underprivileged backgrounds, such as those with intellectual disabilities, slow learning, autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and more, all under one roof.

At VYOM, we’re not just focused on children; we go the extra mile to support parents, caregivers, and external environments like schools, providing an all-inclusive 360-degree focus on a child’s development. Our mission is not linear; its four key principles are awareness, identification, intervention, and future-proofing with regard to the holistic health and growth of children. This approach is aimed at creating a more inclusive and better society.

VYOM CDC plays a crucial role in spreading awareness about neurodiversity, developmental challenges, mental health concerns, emotional issues, and related problems. Which would aid in the prompt identification of various concerns, issues, and disorders through professional assessments, observations, and psychometric tests. With a team of dedicated professionals, we are committed to delivering specialised therapies and programs aimed at intervention and prevention to ensure a child’s future well-being.

Under our unique working model, we have already made strides in the following areas (with plans to continue):

  1. Integrated Programs: We have a customized integrated approach which helps us design programs involving one or more therapies like speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, behavioral therapy, special education etc. according to the specific needs of the child, with respect to their chronological & mental age.
  2. Teacher Training Program: We offer specialized training to teachers to help them become more aware and responsive to a child’s unique needs.
  3. Free Medical Camps: Our medical camps provide essential evaluations and informative insights into a child’s health to parents and caregivers.

In addition to our current initiatives, VYOM has ambitious plans to expand its services further:

  1. Parent Management: We aim to equip parents with the right kind of support and knowledge to understand and work effectively with their children while also prioritizing their own mental and emotional well-being.
  2. Free Psychological Camps: Our psychological camps are designed to evaluate, understand, and address psychological issues that are often overlooked or neglected.
  3. CMEs (Continuing Medical Education): We collaborate with healthcare workers in our community to ensure that we continually learn and grow as a society, promoting the well-being of special children and underprivileged families.

At VYOM, our mission is to create a more inclusive, compassionate, and better society for special children and their families.

  1. Going Beyond Just Remedial Sessions: We have a model where we can provide simply remedial sessions but can also go beyond that providing 2-4 hours of sessions which includes experiential learning & therapeutic sessions wrapped as one. These sessions are highly influenced by our much-celebrated 5Cs (Cognition, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication & Collaboration).
